General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit KAOLIN DEPOSIT HAS STYLES OF MINERALIZATION, DETERMINABLE BY ASSOCIATED RARE EARTH MINERALS. THE FIRST IS AN ALBITIZED KAOLIN FORMED FROM MUSCOVITE MONZONITIC GRANITE; THE SECOND AN ALBITIZED KAOLIN FORMED FROM A PORPHYRITIC 2-MICA MONZONITIC GRANITE. THE ORES CONSIST OF KAOLIN WITH HALLOYSITE, ILLITE, QUARTZ, AND MINOR FELDSPAR. THE V4 OREBODY IS 70-85% KAOLINITE AND 9-20% ILLITE. THE V2 OREBODY IS 50-82% KAOLINITE AND 12-27% ILLITE. HALLOYSITE IS WELL DEVELOPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OREBODY AND A SMALL AMOUNT OF GIBBSITE OCCURS NEAR THE UPPER PART OF THE DEPOSIT AS A RESULT OF THE WEATHERING (DEHYDRATION AT SURFACE).
