Deposit SPATIAL ASSOCIATION OF BASALT WITH DEPOSITS. THE ABUNDANT GYPSUM AT THIS SITE WAS PROBABLY CONSIDERED (FALSELY) TO BE A FAVORABLE INDICATION OF BORATES AT DEPTH. THE GYPSUM IS PROBABLY A SECONDARY PRODUCT DEPOSIT ALONG BEDDING PLANES AND FRACTURES.
