  • CLASTIC SEDIMENTATION; CEN; GRNR; SRPN; LMON; NI/CO RATIO 70: 1; LIMONITE: 1.45% NI, 44% FE, 3% MGO, 7-10% SIO2. DEPOSIT OCCURS AS IRREGULAR-TABULAR BLANKET -ABOUT 5 M THICK. THE ORE ZONE OCCURS BELOW A 4-6 M THICK LOW--GRADE LIMONITE BED, A 4 M THICK MEDIUM-GRADE LIMONITE THAT IS -STOCKPILED FOR LATER USE, AND MORE THAN 5 M OF SAPROLITE. THE- SAPROLITE SERVES AS ADDITIONAL ORE. ISLAND CONSISTS OF EXPOS-ED OCEANIC CRUST AND MANTLE.
  • FOLDING; PROT; PNLT + CLCP + PYTT + MGNT; HIGHLY DEFORMED AND METAMORPHOSED AREA. DEPOSIT IS PART OF A LINEAR BELT IN SOUTH FINLAND THAT SUBSEQUENTLY HAS B-EEN HIGHLY DEFORMED. THE DEPOSIT IS NOW ON THE FLANK OF A REG-IONAL DOME. DEFORMATION HAS MOBILIZED THE SULFIDES.
