Comments on the geologic information

  • FOLDING, FAULTING, WEATHERING; CRET HOLO; CARBONATE-FLUORAPATITE, QUARTZ, ILLITE-MUSCOVITE, GYPSUM, FLUORITE, PYRITE, ORGANIC (CALCITE AND DOLOMITE IN UNWEATHERED SAMPLES); DEPOSITION BY UPWELLING NUTRIENT-LADEN WATERS ON STABLE SHELF. FOLDING AND FAULTING AFTER DEPOSITION MAKES GEOLOGY COMPLICATED AND REDUCES AMOUNT OF MATERIAL AVAILABLE FOR OPEN PIT MINING. MOST OF RESOURCE WILL HAVE TO BE MINED UNDERGROUND. WEATHERING IN HOLOCENE REMOVED CARBONATE, THUS ENRICHING THE PHOSHATE ROCK
