  • BURIAL TO PRESERVE ORE; GROUNDWATE IRON PRECIPITATION--COFFEE ROCK LENSES WITHIN STRANDS.; PLEISTOCENE; ILMN+ ZRCN + RUTL + KYNT + LCXN + MNZT (+ QRTZ); THE MINERAL SANDS WERE CONCENTRATED BY WAVE ACTION AT THE BASE OF THE GINGIN SCARP. WIND ACTION PRODUCED DUNE DEPOSITS THAT DRAPE OVER THE SCARP. THE OREBODY UNCONFORMABLY OVERLIES THE MESOZOIC YARRAGADEE AND COCKLESHELL GULLY FORMATION.

AMC IS A DREDGE TO MINE LOWER ORE GRADES. DREDING TO COMMENCE IN LATE 1988-EARLY 1989. THE AVERAGE CUT-OFF GRADE WILL BE LOWERED TO 4% HM.); ZRCN GRADES HAVE FALLEN AS THE RICHER EASTERN STRANDLINES CONTAINING IN EXCESS OF 30% ZRCN ARE COMPLETED. THE WESTERN STRANDLINES CONTAIN ABOUT 12-15% ZRCN.
