THE DEPOSIT IS 7 M AVERAGE THICK. THE HM CONTENT AVERAGES 4-5 WITH ALTERED ILMENITE COMPRISING 80-90% AND RUTILE 3%.

  • CAPACITY OF 5 MILLS THAT HAD PROCESSED V-ORE WAS ABOUT 5 700 MT OF ORE/DAY. MAXIMUM PRODUCTION MIGHT BE ABOUT 12 800 MT V2O5/YR IF MINES GEARED UP TO SUPPLY MILL CAPACITY. NONE SEE C12ON SEPT 26, 1985, SEC. OF THE DEPT. OF ENERGY ISSUED A DETERMINATION THAT THE US URANIUM MINING AND MILLING INDUSTRY WAS NOT VIABLE IN 1984. MARKET FACTORS HAVE CAUSED ANNUAL PRODUCTION TO DECLINE SO MARKEDLY IN THE LAST 5 YEARS THAT IT MAY NOT BE OF RELIABLE AID IN PREDICTING FUTURE PRODUCTION.
