  • COARSE CRYSTALLINE, WHITE BARITE REPLACES QUARTZITE. SOME OF THE BARITE IS GRAY TO BLACK AND GIVES OFF A FETID ODOR. BARITE MASSES RANGING UP TO ONE FOOT IN LENGTH ARE PRESENT IN THE PITS. DEPOSIT IS THE MOCCASIN GAP TYPE.
