  • MOST OF EASTERN QUARTER OF FORMATION CONSISTS OF RELATIVELY FRESH, YELLOWISH-GREEN, COARSE-TEXTURED, GRANULAR OLIVINE. NEAR SOUTH WEST NOSE OLIVINE IS FINE-GRAINED, LIGHT GREEN AND FRIABLE. THE REMAINDER OF DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF STEATIZED AND CHLORITIZED DUNITE. VERMICULITE IS ABUNDANT OCCURRING AS VEINS AND LENSES THROUGHOUT THE DEPOSIT.
