OLIVINE CONSISTS OF COARSE-GRAINED INTERLOCKING CRYSTALLINE MATERIAL AND DARK GREEN GRANULAR FRIABLE MATERIAL WITH FEW ACCESSORY MINERALS EXCEPT CHROMITE. NEAR MIDDLE OF DEPOSIT IS A MICA SCHIST INCLUSION SURROUNDED BY SERPENTINIZED DUNITE, WHICH CONTAINS SMALL SEAMS FILLED WITH NICKEL SILICATE. SOME PARTS OF DEPOSIT ARE FAULTED AND THE FAULTS FILLED WITH VERMICULITE AND ASBESTOS. VERMICULITE IS PRESENT AS VEINS THAT MAY BE AS THICK AS 2 FT. CHROMITE PRESENT AS LENSES AND DISSEMINATED IN DUNITE |
