    Width 18.29M

Controls for ore emplacement

  • Fractures, Dilation Zones (Cameron, 1951)

Comments on the geologic information

  • LARGE PERTHITE CRYSTALS DOMINATE THE PERTHITE-QUARTZ CORE OF THE PEGMATITE, WHICH IS BORDERED ASYMMETRICALLY BY A ZONE OF VERY COARSE, BLOCKY PERTHITE AND PLAGIOCLASE WITH SUBORDINATE QUARTZ AND ACCESSORY BIOTITE. THESE TWO ZONES ARE ENVELOPED BY A WALL ZONE OF VERY COARSE PLAGIOCLASE-QUARTZ-PERTHITE, WHICH IN TURN IS BORDERED BY A THIN BORDER ZONE OF SAME COMPOSITION, BUT FINER-GRAINED.

Comments on the workings information

  • DIMENSIONS OF PEGMATITE BASED ON SURFACE EXPOSURES. DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF A CAVED ADIT REPORTED TO BE 26 FEET IN LENGTH, LOCATED AT ONE END OF THE OPEN CUT WHICH IS 10 FEET DEEP.

Comments on development

  • DEPOSIT WAS OPENED IN THE 1940'S BUT DEVELOPMENT WAS NOT CARRIED BEYOND THE PROSPECTING STAGE. ; ECON.COM: SMALL DIMENSIONS OF PEGMATITE PRECLUDE SIZABLE TONNAGE OF FELDSPAR.
