  • ENSTATOLITE OUTCROPS ARE WELL EXPOSED AND COMPOSED OF LARGE INTERLOCKING CRYSTALS OF ANTHOPHYLLITE AND ENSTATITE. TALC IS PRESENT IN SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS, LAYERING IS A DISTINCT FEATURE. AND INDIVIDUAL LAYERS RANGE FROM LESS THAN 2 FEET UP TO 5 FEET IN THICKNESS. THE BODY IS CUT BY NUMEROUS VEINS OF CROSS-FIBER ANTHOPHYLLITE. MOST VEINS ARE ORIENTED PERPENDICULAR TO LAYERING.
