  • THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF TWO LEDGES OF LIMONITE THAT PROTRUDE A FEW FEET ABOVE GROUND. NO OTHER ROCKS ARE EXPOSED IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY, ACCORDING TO BAYLEY (1925).

  • BAYLEY (1925) STATES THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO ATTEMPT TO EXPLORE THE OCCURRENCE. ; ECON.COM: DEPOSIT APPEARS TO BE SMALL, AND SIMILAR MATERIAL AT OTHER LOCALITIES IN THE AREA IS HIGH IN PHOSPHOROUS.

Deposit THE POSITION OF THE DEPOSIT IS NEAR THE CONTACT OF THE MURPHY MARBLE WITH THE ANDREWS FORMATION. SIMILAR OCCURRENCES ARE PRESENT ALONG THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE ISOLATED BELT OF MURPHY MARBLE IN THE BRASSTOWN-PEACHTREE AREA.
