  • THE MAIN PIT IS 6 TO 20 FEET DEEP. BAYLEY (1925) REPORTS THAT THE PITS WERE OVERGROWN AND NO ORE COULD BE FOUND ON THE DUMPS, OR BEDROCK IN THE PITS. THE ORE-BEARING ZONE RANGED FROM 4 TO 10 FEET IN WIDTH.
