| Deposit | THE WHITE, FINE-GRAINED, DOLOMITIC MARBLE ZONE WHICH LOCALLY CONTAINS TALC DEPOSITS IS AT THE APPROXIMATE STRATIGRAPHIC CENTER OF THE FORMATION (VAN HORN, 1948). THE PROSPECT IS SITUATED WITHIN THE OUTCROP BELT OF THE MURPHY MARBLE, BUT FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, DID NOT INTERCEPT THE TALC-BEARING HORIZON. THE LOCATION IS NEAR THE NORTHEASTERN TERMINUS OF THE MARBLE BELT. |
