  • ACCORDING TO AREA RESIDENTS, A HOT-MIX ASPHALT PLANT ONCE WAS LOCATED HERE AND APPARENTLY USED THE LOCAL SAND. LATER, SOME SAPROLITE FROM THE PLATFORM APPARENTLY WAS USED LOCALLY FOR FILL

Comments on development

  • SAND HAS BEEN MINED DIRECTLY FROM CANE CREEK AND THE SURROUNDING BANKS. THE ONLY EVIDENCE OF THE WORKINGS IS AN EXCAVATED PLATFORM ABOVE THE CREEK LEVEL, WHERE SCREENING AND SIZING EQUIPMENT WERE LOCATED.
