  • PROSPECTING WAS CARRIED OUT IN A SHEAR ZONE AND QUARTZ STRINGERS IN ANDESITE LITHIC TUFF WHICH TRENDS N 15 E AND DIPS 70 NW. PORTIONS OF THE PHYLLITE HAVE BEEN BLEACHED AND SILICIFIED. A FEW RELIC CRYSTAL AND LITHIC FRAGMENTS OCCUR IN THE SHEARED ROCK. PRATT (1907) REPORTS THAT "A 60 FOOT ZONE OF HARD OXIDIZED SLATES WITH MANY LENSES (18 INCHES BY 10 FEET OR LESS) OF COARSER SCHIST CONTAINING LIMONITE CUBES," WAS PROSPECTED.u BEDROCK, SAPROLITE, AND ALLUVIUM WERE WORKED.

  • THE PROPERTY WAS FIRST PROSPECTED BY MEANS OF A PIT 20 FT. IN DIAMETER AND 30 FT. DEEP. IN 1968, THREE PITS AND A TRENCH 200 FT. LONG TRENDING N 35 W AT ONE POINT AND N 10 E AT ANOTHER WERE PRESENT. THE NORTH END OF THE WORKINGS CONSISTS OF CAVED ADITS AND DRIFTS.
