  • THE MINE WAS OPENED IN A SILICIFIED, SERICITIZED AND BLEACHED ZONE OF FELSIC LITHIC-CRYSTAL TUFF. HEMATITE AFTER PYRITE IS DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT. AT THE MINE WORKINGS, THE ROCKS HAVE BEEN BRECCIATED AND ALTERED TO SERICITE PHYLLITE CONTAINING KAOLIN. FINE GRAINED SACCHAROIDAL QUARTZ, QUARTZ PHENOCRYSTS, AND LIMONITE AND HEMATITE IN VUGS AND FRACTURES ARE PRESENT.
