ROTTMAN, GOLD PRINCE MINING AND MILLING CO., OUTWEST MINING COMPANY, AND PHELPS DODGE CORPORATION (1987). THIS SITE WAS LOCATED IN 1878 AS MURPHY MINE. IN 1989, THE MINE WAS ACTIVELY PRODUCING AU-BEARING SILICA FLUX FOR CU SMELTING. 9000 FT OF DIAMOND DRILLING BY PHELPS DODGE CORP. BETWEEN 1983 AND 1986, FOLLOWED BY SAMPLING, MAPPING, AND 6000 FT OF DIAMOND DRILLING BY QUEENSTAKE RESOURCES 1987-1989.
