  • WAS ONCE WORKED BY A MR. DENNISON OF IONE, BUT WAS IDLE IN 1927. PROPERTY OF 80 ACRES, LYING SOUTH OF THE IONE-JACKSON HIGHWAY AT THE POINT WHERE IT CROSSES THE RAILROAD, 1.5 MILES EAST OF IONE. ALMOST THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS COVERED WITH AN OVERBURDEN OF VOLCANIC BRECCIA AND INSUFFICIENT PROSPECTING HAS BEEN DONE TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT AND CHARACTER OF THE UNDERLYING CLAY BEDS
