  • ACCORDING TO EVANS, DURING THE 1880'S AND 1890'S, RHYOLITE FROM THIS DEPOSIT WAS QUARRIED AS A BUILDING STONE FOR VARIOUS BUILDINGS IN THE COUNTY. DEPOSIT LIES FROM THE CENTER OF SEC. 18 AND EXTENDS TO THE NORTHEAST INTO SEC. 17
