  • NO RECORDED PRODUCTION. DEPOSIT IS EXPOSED BY TIGER CREEK AND A TRIBUTARY CREEK. OVERBURDEN CONSISTS OF ALLUVIUM AND SOIL AS MUCH AS 10 FEET IN THICKNESS. IRON OXIDE IS CONCENTRATED IRREGULARLY THROUGH THE CLAY BODY WHILE QUARTZ AND OTHER MINERAL GRAINS ARE PRESENT AS IMPURITIES. THE DEPOSIT IS A RESULT OF HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION OF ANDESITIC SEDIMENTS AND AGGLOMERATES OF THE MIOCENE MEHRTEN FORMATION
