  • GEOL.DESC: THIS CHANNEL SAID TO HAVE BEEN EXTENSIVELY WORKED IN THE EARLY DAYS, BUT MOST OF THE OLD WORKINGS HAVE CAVED. THE GRAVEL IS TIGHT, CONTAINS CONSIDERABLE BLUE CLAY AND A NUMBER OF BOULDERS. BEDROCK IS HORNBLENDE SCHIST.
