Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: THE GRAVEL IS SLIGHTLY CEMENTED. BEDROCK CONSISTS OF MINERALIZED SLATE, WHICH IS OF LITTLE VALUE. THE SMALL AMOUNT OF DEVELOPMENT COMPLETED BY DEC. 1935 SHOWED THAT THE RIM GRAVEL CONTAINED GOLD IN FINE SIZES, WITH CONSIDERABLE BLACK SAND AND IRON SULPHIDES, WITH MINOR OSMIUM, PLATINUM.
