  • FIRST WORKED DURING EARLY DAYS OF THE GOLD RUSH; ACTIVE AGAIN IN 1880'S. PROSPECTED DURING EARLY 1920'S. SHAFT WAS SUNK DURING EARLY 1930'S AND SOME HIGH-GRADE ORE WAS MINED. SINCE 1954 MINE HAS BEEN OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY BY BUTLER MNG. & DEV. CO. AND SOME HIGH GRADE ORE HAS BEEN SHIPPED.
