  • FIRST WORKED IN 1857. IN 1879 ORE WAS TREATED IN A 5-STAMP MILL. BY 1888 EXTENSIVE OPEN CUTS AND UNDERGROUND WORKINGS HAD BEEN DEVELOPED AND A 40-STAMP MILL WAS ACTIVE. CYANIDATION PLANT INSTALLED IN 1894 AND OPERATED UNTIL 1901 WHEN MINE SHUT DOWN. CONSIDERABLE PROSPECTING AND DEVELOPMENT DONE IN 1930'S.
