OF THE PAVED ROAD FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY SHORE TO THE SUMMIT OF THE RIDGE. THIS MATERIAL HAS ALSO BEEN QUARRIED AT A LOWER ELEVATION ABOUT 300 YDS TO THE NW OF THIS LOCALITY. THE MINERAL LAWSONITE WAS DISCOVERED IN THIS AREA.
