  • GEOL.DESC: ORE LENS IN METAMORPHOSED THIN BEDDED CHERT AND MASSIVE CHERT. THE CHERTS ARE FAULTED AND FOLDED. THE ORE IS BLACK MANGANESE OXIDE AT THE SURFACE, AND MANGANESE CARBONATE AT DEPTH. SOME ORE VEINS AND BEDS ARE PYROLUSITE, PSILOMELANE AND WAD. CHERT IS SOMETIMES STAINED WITH MANGANESE OXIDES.
