ORE IS IN CLOSE ASSOCIATION WITH THICK BEDS OF MASSIVE RED JASPER LENSES IN THIN BEDDED CHERT. ORE VARIES FROM MANGANIFEROUS CHERT TO MANGANESE OXIDE WITH SMALL AMOUNT OF SILICA. MAIN ORE FOUND DEEP IN WORKINGS IS A RED - BROWN GRANULAR MATERIAL, WHICH OXIDIZES ON EXPOSURE.
