THICK, WHICH INCLUDES MASSIVE WHITE AND RED CHERT, BEDDED WHITE AND RED CHERT WITH SHALE PARTINGS, AND GREENISH CHERTS, ALL CUT BY QUARTZ VEINS, AND SOME STAINED BY MANGANESE. CHERTS STRIKE N 20 W TO N - S, DIP 40 TO 80 NE. ORE IS MAINLY RHODONITE BEDS, 6 INCHES TO 2 FT. THICK, COATED WITH BLACK MANGANESE OXIDES, CONTAINING A FEW POCKETS AND VEINS OF OXIDE. MASSIVE BROWN MANGANESE CARBONATE AND SOME NEOTOCITE OVERLIES THE RHODONITE.
