  • GEOL.DESC: LENSES OF RHODONITE OR QUARTZ RHODONITE ROCK IN QUARTZ BEDS WHICH GRADES INTO QUARTZ SERICITE AND QUARTZ BIOTITE SCHISTS. THE LENSES ARE USUALLY 8 TO 10 IN. WIDE AND EXIST WITHIN DEFINITE HORIZONS IN THE SCHISTS. NEAR A GRANITE CONTACT THE ORE IS ALTERED TO A COARSELY CRYSTALLINE RHODONITE-QUARTZ-SPESSARITE ROCK ENCLOSED IN A COARSE GRAINED QUARTZ-MICA ROCK.
