Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: VARYING AMOUNTS OF MASSIVE PSILOMELANE OCCUR IN A SHATTERED ZONE ALONG AN E - W LINE OF FAULTING CUTTING RHYOLITE AGGLOMERATE, WITH COARSE TO FINE CALCITE, CHALCEDONY AND OPAL. THE SHEAR ZONE VARIES IN WIDTH FROM A FEW FT. TO 50 FT. WITHIN THE ZONE STRINGERS AND WIDER VEINS CONSIST MAINLY OF BLACK CALCITE WITH SOME THIN SELVEDGES AND NARROW IRREGULAR BODIES OF PSILOMELANE. CALCITE VEINS ARE A FEW INCHES TO 14 FT. WIDE, BROKEN BY BANDS AND BLOCKS OF AGGLOMERATE.
