  • GEOL.DESC: ORE IS IN BANDED BLUE-GRAY IRON STAINED QUARTZITE DERIVED FROM CHERT. VEIN-LIKE MASSES OF WHITE QUARTZ CUT THE QUARTZITE. NUMEROUS FRACTURES IN THE QUARTZITE ARE COATED WITH MANGANESE OXIDE. THE QUARTZITE IS A 5 FT. THICK LENS ENCLOSED IN GNARLY QUARTZ-MICA SCHISTS.
