  • GEOL.DESC: TWO SMALL IRON-RICH TACTITE BODIES IN BLEACHED RECRYSTALLIZED LIMESTONE ADJACENT TO GRANITE. IN LIMESTONE, A STRONG SET OF JOINTS STRIKE E. AND DIP STEEPLY S. GRANITE DOES NOT CROP OUT, BUT FLOAT IS PRESENT. DEEPLY WEATHERED TACTITE IS MAINLY MASSIVE BROWN GARNET WITH MAGNETITE, HEMOTITE AND LIMONITE. THIN FILMS OF MALACHITE AND CHRYSOCOLLA COAT FRACTURES IN N. ORE BODY. CASSITERITE IS RARE.
