  • GEOL.DESC: FOOTWALL IS CALAVERAS SLATES, HANGING WALL-PORPHYRY (POSSIBLY SCHISTS), ROCK IN WHICH COPPER BODIES ARE FOUND IS LARGELY EPIDOTE FILLED WITH SMALL GRAINS OF NATIVE COPPER. THE KIDNEYS SHOW LARGE LUMPS OF NATIVE COPPER, WITH RED OXIDE AND CARBONATES.
