Deposit DRILLING OPERATIONS ACTIVE JUST NE OF HERE ABOUT 0.5 MILE FOR GOLD. SAMPLE 1795 WAS FROM SAME AREA AS OTHER SAMPLE-S AND CONTAINS DARK REDDISH BROWN HIGHLY ALTERED RHYOLITE BREC-CIA WITH SULPHUR AND POSSIBLE SULFIDES. ANALYSIS SHOWS 0.5 % F-E, 0.03 % MG, 0.15 % CA, 0.7 % TI, 10 PPM MN, 50 PPM B, 1500 P-PM BA, 20 PPM NB, 30 PPM PB, 7 PPM SC, 50 PPM V, 15 PPM Y, +10-00 PPM ZR. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
Deposit SULFUR OCCURS AS DISSEMINATED GRAIN, PREFERENTIAL REPLACEMENT OF CONGLOMERATE MATRIX, IRREGULAR VEINS AND MASSES, -AND COATINGS ON FRACTURE SURFACES. MERCURY IS PRESENT IN SOME -OF THE MATERIAL, AS IS SILVER. IN THE BIG PIT, ALL ROCKS ARE M-ODERATELY TO STRONGLY ALTERED, BUT CONGLOMERATE CLASTS ARE COM-MONLY RECOGNIZABLE. MUCH OF THE ROCK CONTAINS LITTLE OR NO SUL-FUR. SULFUR IS CONCENTRATED IN 3 OR 4 IRREGULAR AREAS UP TO 20- FT ACROSS WHERE IT MAKES UP PERHAPS ONE-FIFTH OF THE ROCK. WI-THIN THESE AREAS SOME SMALL BODIES ARE QUITE PURE. MOST STRING-ERS OF SULFUR ARE SEMI-HORIZONTAL, PROBABLY REFLECTING BEDDING- ATTITUDE WHICH OTHERWISE IS NOT VISIBLE.
