Deposit [From deleted record 10189541]: THE NEW ALMADEN MINES INDLUDE FROM EAST TO WEST, THE NEW ALMADEN, AMERICA, PROVIDENCIA, ENRIQUITA, SAN ANTONIO, SAN MATEO, AND SENATOR MINES. THE MINES ARE CONTAINED IN 1,456 HECTARES LYING ALONG LOS CAPITANCILLOS RIDGE. THE PROPERTY WAS SOLD BY NEW IDRIA MINING AND CHEMICAL CO. TO SATA CLARA COUNTY IN 1975. THE AREA IS NOW THE ALMADEN QUICKSILVER PARK. PRODUCTION TO THE END OF 1976 WAS 38.09 MILLION KILO- GRAMS (1,104,922 FLASKS) OF MERCURY FROM 1,722,900 TONNES OF ORE. THE AVERAGE FIVE YEAR ANNUAL GRADE WAS 5.40% AND THE CUMMULATIVE GRADE WAS 2.21%. THIS IS LESS THAN 57 T/D ASSUMING A 250 DAY OPERATING YEAR FOR THE 121 PRODUCING YEARS. THERE ARE NO RESERVES AND IDENTIFIED RESOURCES ARE INSIGNIFICANT. ESTIMATES OF HYPOTHETICAL RESOURCES RANGE FROM 100,000 TO 1,000,000 FLASKS OF MERCURY.
