General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit YELLOW URANIUM MINERAL OCCURS AS FRACTURE COATINGS IN A BASALT DIKE CUTTING GRANITE. FRACTURE ZONE IN GRANODIORITE. EVIDENCE IS THAT URANIUM WAS INTRODUCED WITH CHALCOPYRITE ALONG FRACTURES CONTAINING PYRITE. THE URANIUM DEPOSIT IS CLOSELY RELATED TO AND OF SAME AGE AS TACTITE UNITS. THE URANIUM MAY HAVE BEEN IN TACTITE, THEN LEACHED AND CARRIED DOWN DIP ALONG FRACTURES IN THE GRANODIORITE UNTIL REDUCED AND DEPOSITED BY PYRITE.
Deposit THIS RECORD HAS BEEN MERGED WITH M242703, WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED.
