THE PRINCIPAL VEIN SYSTEM TRENDS N40-60 DEGREES E AND DIPS 80 DEGREES NE, IN PLACES PARALLEL TO THE BEDDING AND IN PLACES PARALLEL TO THE SHEARS OR CLEAVAGE. ANOTHER LESS PROMINENT SYSTEM TRENDS N50-60 DEGREES E AND DIPS 45 DEGREES SE. THE VEINS CONTAIN BUNCHES OF ARGENTIFEROUS GALENA AND CARBONATE OF LEAD.

Deposit THE MINE IS ON A SERIES OF QUARTZ VEINS AND IRREGULAR MASSES. QUARTZ VEINS ARE LESS THAN 1 INCH TO 6 INCHES WIDE AND OCCUR MAINLY IN SLATE IRREGULAR MASSES OF QUARTZ ARE UP TO 5 FEET WIDE. THE PRINCIPAL VEIN SYSTEM TRENDS N40-60 DEGREES E AND DIPS 80 DEGREES NE, IN PLACES PARALLEL TO THE BEDDING AND IN PLACES PARALLEL TO THE SHEARS OR CLEAVAGE. ANOTHER LESS PROMINENT SYSTEM TRENDS N50-60 DEGREES E AND DIPS 45 DEGREES SE. THE VEINS CONTAIN BUNCHES OF ARGENTIFEROUS GALENA AND CARBONATE OF LEAD. HIGHLY IRREGULAR MASSES OF QUARTZ; BEST-PRODUCING VEINS WERE SMALL. SAMPLE 2835 HAS VISIBLE GALENA AND ARSENOPYRITE IN A CARBONATE-QUARTZ GANLE AND IN WHITE BULL QUARTZ.
Deposit ARGENTIFEROUS GALENA AND LEAD CARBONATES WAS DISCOVERED IN THE DISTRICT IN 1875. SOME SILVER-LEAD ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1876.
