SOME OF THE RICHEST ORE WAS FOUND THE INTERSECTION OF THE MAIN FAULT ZONE AND SMALL CROSS FAULTS THAT OFFSET THE FAULT ZONE 1 TO 2 FEET.

  • FIRST LOCATED DURING W.W.I. A SMALL QUANTITY OF ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1918. THE GREEN BROTHERS (AVERILL & FRANK) WORKED THE MINE FOR 3 YEARS (1933-36?), STOCKPILING 30 TONS OF ORE. THE GREEN MINE WAS ALSO WORKED DURING THE PERIODS 1936-37, 1952-54, AND 1962-67. EXPLORATION DONE IN 1970'S. NO ACTIVITY IN 1985.
