Deposit THE GROUP OF MINES WERE LOCATED IN 1873 & WORKED INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL 1945. THE JERSEY VALLEY MINE PRODUCED CONSIDERABLE SHIPPING ORE FROM 1880 TO 1910. SMALL SHIPMENTS FROM REX GROUP OF CLAIMS AND JERSEY VALLEY MINE MADE FROM 1921 TO 1929. MINES WERE DEVELOPED BY SHAFTS, ADITS, AND TUNNELS. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT; 2 UNPUB REPT; 3 FIELD OBSERV
Deposit THE MOST EXTENSIVE WORKINGS ARE ALONG A N10W, 60SW VEIN WHICH CUTS LIGHT GREY CHERT AND OLIVE SILTSTONE STRIKING N-20W, DIPPING ABOUT 90. THE MINERALIZED FAULT ZONE CONSISTS OF -PATCHY FINE-GRAINED QUARTZ AND OCHEROUS LIMONITE GOSSAN. MALAC-HITE AND OXIDE ARSENIC? MINERALS WERE NOTED. MINERALIZED ZONE -WAS STOPED OVER A WIDTH OF 50 CM OR MORE NEAR THE SURFACE.
