Comments on the geologic information

  • MINE IS DEVELOPED BY A VERTICAL SHAFT AND INCLINED SHAFT ON A QUARTZ VEIN THAT STRIKES N 15 DEG W AND DIPS 28 DEG - 40 DEG NE. IT IS A SINGLE VEIN OF VARIABLE WIDTH AND ABOUT A FOOT THICK IN THE ACCESSIBLE WORKINGS. THE VEIN IN THE WALL OF THE INCLINED SHAFT CONTAINED 20 PPM SILVER AND 0.05 PPM GOLD. DUMP QUARTZ CONTAINED 50 PPM SILVER AND 4.5 PPM GOLD. (WILLDEN AND SPEED, P 67) BASIN AROUND MINE DISPLAYS MOTTLED RED AND GREEN ALTERATION (HEMATITE AND CHLORITE). EASTERN SHAFT HAS GREEN ALTE-RED METAVOLCANICS ON DUMP.
