  • IN 1941-42 THE PROPERTY WAS OPERATED BY H. E. HALL, JIM HALL, AND JOHN JERGENSON. IN 1943-44 THE MINE WAS LEASED T-O J. D. UPTON AND JOSEPH WYCKOFF WHO OPERATED IT AS THE LAKE T-UNGSTEN MINE. A SMALL TONNAGE OF ORE WAS MINED FROM THE TOY CL-AIM, PART OF WHICH WAS SENT TO THE METALS RESERVE STOCKPILE AT- WINNEMUCCA AND PART WAS MILLED AT THE HALL MILL AT TOY. THE P-ROPERTY WAS AGAIN MINED FOR A SHORT TIME IN 1953-1954.

Deposit SCHEELITE OCCURS IN TACTITE ALONG A CONTACT BETWEEN CALCAREOUS HORNFELS AND GRANODIORITE, AND IN A TACTITE BED ABO-UT ONE FOOT WIDE INTERSTRATIFIED IN METASEDIMENTS. THE CONTACT- STRIKES NW AND DIPS STEEPLY. IT IS INTERSECTED AT RIGHT ANGLE-S BY THE HORNFELS WHICH STRIKES NE AND DIPS 45 SE. THE CONTACT- IS EXPLORED BY PROSPECT PITS AND AN ADIT; THE BEDDED ORE ZONE- IS EXPLORED BY A SHAFT AND SEVERAL SMALL STOPES.
