  • THIS GROUP IS ON QUARTZ VEINS IN GRANODIORITE; THE QUARTZ VEINS GENERALLY PARALLEL A PROMINENT SET OF APLITE DIKES. THE NORTHERNMOST PROSPECT IN THE GROUP IS OPENED BY TWO SHALLOW INCLINED SHAFTS AND A SHALLOW BULLDOZER TRENCH THAT EXPOSE A QUARTZ VEIN ABOUT 4 INCHES TO 1 FOOT THICK. THE SOUTHERN WORKINGS CONSIST OF TWO INCLINED SHAFTS AND SEVERAL SHALLOW PITS. THE WORKINGS EXPLORE A QUARTZ VEIN THAT STRIKES ABOUT N 70 DEG W AND DIPS ABOUT 40 DEG NE. THE VEIN IS A COMPOSITE VEIN MADE UP OF SEVERAL QUARTZ VEINS 1 TO 3 INCHES THICK. SAMPLES FROM THE PROSPECTS CONTAIN 112 PPM GOLD AT ONE SITE AND LESS THAN 6 PPM GOLD AT 7 OTHERS; ALL SAMPLES CONTAINED LESS THAN 30 PPM SILVER.
