Comments on the workings information

  • A QUARTZ-TOURMALINE VEIN, TRENDING N 20 DEG N AND DIPPING 30 DEG - 40 DEG SW IS DEVELOPED BY TWO SHALLOW INCLINED SHAFTS. THE VEIN CONTAINS SECONDARY COPPER MINERALS, NO SULFIDES WERE OBSERVED. THE WALL ROCK OF THE VEIN IS HIGHLY FRACTURED AND ALTERED GRANODIORITE. A FEW TONS OF COPPER ORE CONTAINING GOLD AND SILVER WERE REPORTEDLY SHIPPED FROM THESE CLAIMS IN 1956. (BONHAM, P 80)
