| Deposit | THE OLDER WORKINGS EXPLORE A SILICIFIED ZONE ABOUT 1.5 M WIDE IN QUARTZITE OF THE ORDOVICIAN COMUS FM. SPOTTY VEIN- QUARTZ OCCURS IN THE ZONE; HOWEVER,MUCH OF THE '' VEIN '' IS -A RESULT OF REPLACEMENT. THE WORKINGS ARE QUITE SHALLOW, AND N-EARLY ALL THE MATERIAL ON THE DUMPS-SEEMS ENTIRELY OXIDIZED. T-HE SILICIFIED ZONE IS APPARENTLY ALONG A THRUST FAULT WHICH IS- SINUOUS IN TREND DIPPING NW AT 25-50. IRON OXIDES OCCUR IN TH-E BRECCIATED SILICIFIED ROCK; GYPSUM IS PRESENT AS SUPERGENE F-RACTURE COATINGS. A SMALL PILE OF VEIN QUARTZ WITH ABUNDANT GA-LENA AND PYRITE WAS NOTED ON THE DUMP OF THE ADIT. EITHER THIS- HAS BEEN COLLECTED FROM ELSEWHERE ON THE DUMP, OR FROM OFF TH-E PROPERTY. IT WAS NOT SAMPLED. THE ROCK ON THE HEAP LEACH PAD- IS MOST PROBABLY FROM DUMPS ON THE SMALL HILL JUST TO WEST |
