Deposit CLAYEY, MYLONITIZED GOUGE ZONE NEARLY ALONG BEDDING PLANES. ALONG THE EDGE OF THE GOUGE ZONE, ZONES OF MASSIVE CRYSTALLINE CALCITE HAVE FORMED. THE GOUGE ZONE IS REPORTED TO CONTAIN THE IMPURITIES KAOLINITE AND ALUNITE.
