  • ORE OCCURS IN SILICITIED LIMESTONE CONGLOMERATE WHICH IS UNDERLAIN BY A SHALE UNIT. ANDESITE THAT COPS THE RIDGE TO THE WEST EXTENDED OVER THE LIMESTONE DURING THE PERIOD OF MINERALIZATION. CINNABAR IS CONCENTRATED ALONG VERTICLE FRACTURES AND RUBBLE ZONES THAT TREND N15 W THROUGH THE SILICITIED LIMESTONE CONGLOMERATE. THE MINED ORE CONSISTED OF CONGLOMERATE CONTAINING CINNABAR VEINLETS AND DISSEMINATED CRYSTALS. (BAILEY & PHOENIX, 1944). ANDESITE MAY HAVE COVERED AREA DURING TIME OF MINERALIZATION.
