Deposit ORE OCCURS AS IRREGULAR REPLACEMENT OREBODIES IN DOLOLMITE WHERE IT IS CUT BY FAULTS AND FRACTURE ZONE.
Deposit APPROXIMATELY 300,000 TONS OF ORE WAS MINED FROM 1871 TO 1939, WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF OVER $4 MILLION (NOLAN 1962). THE MINE IS LOCATED IN THE RUBY HILL AREA, THE RICHEST OF THE FIVE MINERALIZED BLOCKS IN THE DISTRICT. THE MINE IS ACTUALLY THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE RICHMOND MINE AND THE EUREKA CONSOLIDATED MINE.
