  • THE PLACER GOLD IS FOUND ALONG THE BEDROCK IN GRAVELS 60-90 FEET THICK. THE DEEPER PARTS OF THE GRAVELS ARE CEMENTED IN PLACE. THE GOLD WAS PROBABLY DERIVED FROM VEINS NEAR THE LARGE MASS OF GRANODIORITE AT GRANITE MTN (JOHNSON).
