  • MILL GULCH IS A SHALLOW RAVINE SEVERAL MILES LONG AND 200-300 FEET WIDE. DEPTH TO BEDROCK AVERAGES ABOUT 30 FEET. GOLD IS BOTH FINE (Z920) AND COARSE, A LITTLE SCHEELITE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE GOLD.

Deposit THE MILL GULCH PLACER MINING CO. PURCHASED AND LOCATED A LARGE NUMBER OF CLAIMS IN THE TENABO AREA IN THE 1930'S. THE MINE WAS ACTIVE DURING THE LATE 1930'S. WATER FOR THE PLACER OPERATIONS WAS OBTAINED FROM A WELL IN THE VALLEY TO THE EAST.
